In June 2005 is in Cambridge, Engeland, nearly 80 minutes of music by coen vermeeren recorded for his second CD with the name ‘miserere mei’. The quality of the singers and string players in Cambridge is, as you know, outstanding.
The CD contains music for Lent. The central piece being 'Miserere' (1999), is an impressive piece of music of about 30 minutes voor strings and choir SATB. The work is inspired by music under the same name by Arvo Pärt en Gregorio Allegri. Besides that the CD that will be released in the autumn of 2005 contains 'Clamaverunt Iusti' (2000) for double choir SATB; lamentations of Jeremiah, 'Lamentationes' (2005), 15 minutes of music for four part male choir ATTB; four dramatic motets 'In monte Oliveti', 'Tenebrae', 'Dormite iam' and 'Timor en Tremor' (music written between 1990 - 1992) for five parts SATBB. And a separate piece for strings - again under the name 'In monte Oliveti' (1995). Right this moment the digital tapes are being processed at the Bloomline Studio.
